Wake Up Call
I would like to wake up at 6 a.m. on my own and do Yoga and shower in peace before my babies awaken.
It's my goal each and every day. I know my back would feel better if I would make time to exercise, and the best time to do so is while they are still sleeping. I had high hopes today, the morning after they didn't get to sleep 'til 9 p.m. No such luck. At 5:55 a.m. I heard, "Mama, I peed!" which is then repeated constantly until I arrive in his room to tell him I heard him the first time, to which he promptly states, "good morning, Sunshine, Mama." He's such a morning person!
Little man is in my lap now playing with his "g-gran (grandaddy) truck" and his toy elephant, and he is complaining because he wants to watch cartoons. There's no putting him back to bed this morning.
I do love the little bit of special time I get with my baby while his now 10-year-old big sister still sleeps. I have special time with her during his nap, when she is receptive. Sometimes, though, Mama needs some quiet time, though I'm not eager to wake up at 5 a.m. to get it!
